  • Co-taught and developed workshops on Cross-Cultural Business Management and International Human Resources Management at Ritsumeikan University.   • Taught upper level three credit courses Cross Cultural Management Research and Intercultural Business Communication, Ritsumeikan University, Fall 2010.
     
  • Sole author of all materials for a pair of courses preparing second year upper intermediate students for a two semester overseas program at University of British Columbia from Ritsumeikan University.  Integrated Moodle-based materials and asynchronous discussions.
    Reading Course: Extensive reading course with focus on reading skills.  Students learn to create comprehension questions on readings selected from prepared readings and from their own sources.  Students also learn to select readings based on their abilities and interests, increasing their ability to make decisions about their learning.  The course includes a vocabulary module with TOEFL and TOEIC words integrating vocabulary and practices into readings.
    Writing Course: Academic writing course including presentation skills.  Includes writing samples, tests, assignments, and workshops on presentations and writing.

  • Co-author of text and teacher materials for Communication and Writing 3 in use 2007-2010 at Ritsumeikan University Department of Economics.  The textbook, over 60 pages, contains 10 workshops on academic writing and 10 workshops on presentation skills.  The target audience includes upper intermediate and intermediate students in their second year.  The textbook was used by more than 300 students and 4-5 teachers each semester.
    The text book and teacher materials include originally created listening materials, sample essays and presentations, grading guidelines, course syllabus and schedule, and a compilation of supplemental materials for teachers.

  • Author of course materials for Communication and Writing 2 in use 2008-2010 at Ritsumeikan University Department of Economics.  For multiple teachers and about 300 students.  Includes supplemental materials, class plans, and student evaluation rubrics.

  • Developed course materials for Communication and Writing 4 Ritsumeikan University Department of Business Administration.  These originally created materials are supplemental to a textbook.  My materials integrated concepts from business courses within the Business Administration Department.  Student assignments required development of verbal and presentation skills in a variety of settings based on real life business experience.
