Zhenrong Zhu

Ms. Zhenrong Zhu was born in Anhui Province, China. Ms. Zhu got her bachelor’s degree in Economics in Beijing International Studies University (BISU, originally named as “Beijing Second Foreign Language Institute”) and obtained her Juris Master’s degree in Peking University. She was once a doctor candidate in China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). 
Ms. Zhu went to Hertfort College, Oxford in August 2006 for training and was Visiting Scholar in University College Cork, Ireland during September 1 to December 31, 2013 and Visiting Scholar in Victoria University, Australia in August 2017. She went to Pakistan to visit PASTIC, ECOSF, Air University, COMSATS, and GIK in 2019. 
Ms. Zhu has been a teacher in Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU) since 1992 and she was awarded as “Beijing Municipal Education Innovation Model”. She obtained the First-class Prize of “Education and Teaching Outstanding Achievement Award” by Beijing Government, Third-class Prize of “Scientific and Research Outstanding Achievement Award among Universities and Colleges” by Ministry of Education, P. R. China, and Second-class Prize of “Education and Teaching Outstanding Achievement Award” at BTBU in 2012 and 2016 respectively. She was awarded the “Excellent Teacher at BTBU” in 2018 and “Excellent Supervisor of International Students” in 2021. She teaches the courses “International Business Negotiation”, “International Business Law”, “International Trade Theory and Practices”, and “International Technology Transfer” respectively for undergraduate and postgraduate students.   
Ms. Zhu focuses her research on international business negotiation, international trade policy, international trade rules and dispute settlement. She has published more than 40 academic papers, with 9 papers in core journals indexed by CSSCI and 3 papers indexed by Ei. She has chaired 5 university-level projects and participated in over 10 projects, including 4 ministerial-level projects. Zhu is one of editors-in-chief of series of “Proceedings of the Forum on How China Grows to be a Trade Power”. She is associate editor-in-chief of “Selected English Readings on Economics & Trade” and “International Trade Practical Training”, the latter being awarded the First Prize of “Excellent Textbooks” by Beijing Technology and Business University”.
